Well, we're finally back here at Sword and Sandal Film Productions headquarters. I've a few minutes before the next editing session begins, so I thought I'd fill you in on the process. In the editing room a team of assistants to D.W. view all the angles of a particular scene and choose the best for the final cut. These are lined up and when we watch the complete scene, it's pure magic! D.W. comes by periodically and approves or disapproves the process as the editors strive to give him their best. A raised eyebrow from D.W. is sometimes enough to send an editor scurrying for a different angle of the scene in question. One humorous aside: Darius came skulking by the other day, hoping to see some of the final cuts. He was quickly sent packing by the head of the department, thinking that D.W. would not want anyone to see the final cut before it was all assembled. Darius was furious and went storming off to find D.W. Unfortunately, D.W. had taken a day trip to eastern Oregon, scouting locations for his upcoming western. When he returned and heard what had happened, D.W. sent for Darius and allowed him to see about ten minutes of the final cut. Darius was mollified and was absolutely thrilled with what he had seen. He quickly reported to the rest of the interested cast on what he had seen, proclaiming that D.W. was a super-genius! I can only concur with that finding! Until next time, it's K.P. here!
