Well, my friends, it's all over. The final scene shot yesterday was, ironically, the opening scene of the film. When we were done, there wasn't a dry eye on the set. We had all worked so hard, and now, it was finished. We had a final farewell party on the set, and then, goodbyes were exchanged and each one of the cast moved to their trailer and were seen no more. Darius, the bloated windbag, hung around for a while but at last even he moved off to his trailer. Flights home were booked and the cast and crew prepared to depart. I salvaged several trinkets from the sets (they'll make great memorabilia to sell on ebay!), and I too was shuttled to the hotel that had become my headquarters for the last few days. But, hold the phone!! I have just been informed by D.W.
himself(!), that I am going to be allowed into the editing room as the project progresses to document this gargantuan undertaking. He has also informed me that I will be allowed to visit with the composer as he works on the musical score and with the sound effects department!! How cool is that!!?? And you, my friends, will be the beneficiaries as I write my future columns!!......K.P.
